What We Do
Using our Plek machine, we precisely scan your neck to measure fret height and fingerboard inconsistencies. Then we level the frets to 1/10,000” accuracy and hand-polish them to a flawless mirror shine.
The result:
- Improved intonation
- Lower action with clean, buzz-free notes
- Exceptionally smooth playability across the entire neck
- Drag free bends and vibrato
We can also handcraft a new bone nut and/or roll your fretboard edges while your neck is here.
Get a 10% discount on any Music Nomad setup tools you order with your service. You’ll find these options on the intake form.
Please include a completely filled out Intake Form and a return shipping label with your preferred amount of insurance.
How it Works

Please make sure it is included in the box with the guitar - Pack Your Guitar Carefully
Before you ship, take a few minutes to pack your guitar safely—it’s worth the extra care! Make sure to include any parts or strings we’ll need. Use a hardshell case or a good-quality gig bag that fits your guitar nice and snug. If your guitar has an angled headstock (like a Martin, Gibson, or something similar), don’t put any packing around the headstock area—it can actually cause damage in shipping. Put the case into a sturdy cardboard box, and fill the empty space with bubble wrap or soft packing material so nothing shifts around. Please skip the styrofoam peanuts—they’re messy and rough on the environment. We’ll return your guitar in the same box and packing materials, so pack it up right the first time. We’ve had the best luck shipping with UPS, so that’s our top recommendation. - Include a return shipping label
