This week we installed a Ghost system into a Fender Stratocaster. This system allows the user to plug into a Roland or Axon MIDI or synth unit, and play pianos, drums, clarinets, or any other sound imaginable, with your guitar! Since it’s directly sensing the string via a piezo element under each string, it responds much faster than the standard magnetic pickup route. Of course, it requires a bit of routing and wiring to install one of these, but not impossible if you have the right tools and the know how.
