Living in COVID-19 Pandemic Times
We here at San Francisco Guitarworks & Sonoma County Guitarworks sincerely appreciate our customers’ patience throughout the pandemic. Starting in March 2020, both shops were closed until May 2020, at which time we re-opened by appointment only.
How has the pandemic affected the shop?
The pandemic has not been without its challenges in guitar repair. Many of our parts suppliers (such as AllParts, Stewmac and WD) have been back-ordered for months on certain parts and materials. Our other partners (like Seymour Duncan, Mastery Bridges and Hipshot, for example) have been overwhelmed with an influx of orders throughout the pandemic. Coupled with this and shipping delays from USPS/UPS, all the while trying to avoid catching COVID, it has been an interesting time for your neighborhood guitar repair shop.
Check out this article our owner Geoff Lutrell was interviewed for at the San Francisco Chronicle: “Small businesses say SF’s new curbside sales won’t change much.”
When can I bring my guitar(s) in?
Right now, you can bring your guitar in for repair by appointment only both in San Francisco and Petaluma. We recognize the wait times have been frustrating for customers but we remain committed to getting your guitar back to you while still upholding our attention to detail.
You may book an appointment to drop your instrument(s) off using the buttons below. We ask that you call ahead if you plan to bring more than (3) guitars to your appointment. If you need a restring or a jack replacement, we can usually accommodate you faster so please just call ahead so we can work something out with your schedule.
Thanks again for your patience during these unique times. We look forward to seeing you from behind the mask.
